Start saving for your future now-- with UFCU IRA Savings and Share Certificate Accounts.
It is never too soon to start saving for the not-so-distant retirement, or for your first home, an unexpected medical emergency or for your children’s or grandchildren’s education. A great way to begin and continue to do so in the future -- is to open a variety of IRA accounts at your Ukrainian Federal Credit Union.
An IRA savings or IRA share certificate account not only promotes thrift that helps to build financial security but also provides other special benefits, such as –
Predictability. An IRA share certificate offers a guaranteed dividend rate, so you know exactly what you will get when the IRA share CD matures. And with quarterly compounding the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is even higher than the stated Annual Percentage Rate (APR).
Safety. All IRA share certificate accounts are savings deposits rather than investments and they are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) a federal government agency to $250,000.
Inflation protection. You can deposit and save a lump sum at a rate that most often is higher than the inflation rate. So your money works for you and at the same time is protected from the erosive effects of inflation.
Customization. UFCU offers a wide variety of rates, terms and levels of CD funding for either regular IRA savings or IRA certificates. You can start saving with an IRA savings account with as little as $50 and with IRA share certificate deposits of as low as $500. Terms offered are as short as 7 months or as long as 5 years. Other features include the flexibility of adding as little as $500 to a 2-year Add-on Share Certificate or the option to bump up the rate on a 3-year IRA share certificate once during the life of the certificate.
